No stranger to the western lifestyle, Actor/Musician Wesley MacInnes (aka Wes Mack) returns to the role of “Austin Mars” – a guest star in the 5th season of CBC’s hit show Heartland. Austin is an aspiring country musician who catches the eye of Mallory Wells (one of the shows leading cast members, played by Jessica Amlee).

Set against the stunning vistas of the Alberta Rocky Mountains, Heartland is a sprawling family drama that follows sisters Amy and Lou Fleming and their grandfather, Jack, through the highs and lows of life on a horse ranch.

Wes got to play one of his own songs on the show, “Waitin on Maria” re-titled as “Waiting on Mallory”.  All of it is captured in this behind the scenes short film.
